Treatment Options for Acne Rosacea ...Continued
Diet Intake
The major problem with acne rosacea is that the pimples are not caused by fatty or oily foods, unlike regular acne. Instead, the growths are irritated rashes that break out on a person's sensitive skin. The two leading dietary causes of acne rosacea are alcohol and spicy foods. Avoiding them once you develop acne rosacea does NOT get rid of the problem, it simply keeps it from getting worse.
However, there are also diets available that help lower the body's overall toxicity level, and any of these are actually proven to help acne rosacea, as well as generally making the dieter more healthy. Any "cleansing" type of diet will do the job. However, since this is a natural process, it is the slowest (but safest) of the treatment methods.
Lifestyle Change Treatment
Lastly, some dermatologists recommend a change to a person's overall lifestyle. It was found that extremes of physical exertion and stress actually led to a worsening of acne rosacea. This is because both stress and heavy exertion increase the blood flow in the body, right up to the face. Basically, anything that leads to a normal person getting "red in the face", like anger, worsens acne rosacea.
To this end, another slow but sure treatment for the problem is to undergo a life style change that is basically free from stress, worry, and anger. Going to a health spa or resort and relaxing for a few weeks can go along way towards helping an acne rosacea problem.
