Take Zoloft And Acne May Happenz
Acne is not a problem confined to the pubescent. Many people who have problems with acne in their teenage years have found that they can't get rid of it even though they have gone way past the stage. But what if you found out that after years of having clear skin, you suddenly develop acne? Then you find out that the medication you took is causing it? Zoloft and acne has recently been discovered to have a link with each other.
First off, it is better to understand what Zoloft is. Zoloft is a drug taken for post traumatic stress disorders and for depression. Many people who have been taking the drug have been complaining of having acne break outs. But then, the figures are still murky. Not everybody has breakouts.
In a twist, people who are depressed about their acne take anti depression pills like Zoloft and this may not be linked at all. Their acne problem was already pre-existing and taking Zoloft may not necessarily be the reactive agent which causes their acne to act up again.
But studies still persist as this is not always the case. It is a known fact that people react differently towards the drugs they take. Zoloft may indeed have acne as their side effects even to people who have not had any previous problems with acne breakout.
So before taking Zoloft, the wisest course would be to consult your dermatologist. He or she would most likely be able to give a proper diagnosis as to whether acne may be a serious problem or side effect to you.
